百花繚乱｜押入れ百貨展
押し入れ百貨店のコンセプトをきいて
祖母のことを作品にしたいと思いました。
私は大学生の時に、自分のコンプレックスをテーマに作品を作っていました。
その作品に扱っていたモチーフがオオゴマダラという幼虫でした。
卒業制作の時に、オオゴマダラの幼虫を描いて行き詰っていて、
それをみかねた祖母が、「せっかく卒業するのだから、もうそろそろ蝶を描いたら？」といったのを思い出しました。
その時は蝶をつくる、という考え方にどうしても至らなくて
結局芋虫をモチーフに描きましたが、心残りがありました。
その後、卒業してすぐに祖母が亡くなって、2022年がちょうど祖母の七回忌でした。
その時に三人のいとこと姉と久しぶりに会い、六年たった今、みんなが六年前の重苦しい思い出を乗り越えて自分がかなえたい夢、目標を手にしているのを見ました。
それをみてはじめて前向きな作品をつくりたいと思い、この作品が出来上がりました。モチーフはオオゴマダラの蝶です。
タイトルの百花繚乱というのは
秀でた人物が多く出て、すぐれた立派な業績がたくさん現れること
という意味があり,そこから祖母の死後、残された孫たち五人が、
いろいろなことを乗り越えて前向きに進んでいく様子になぞらえて名づけました。
この作品は「卒業」がテーマになっていてこの蝶は自分の中の晴れ着でもあります。
Listening to the concept of a closet department store
I wanted to make a piece about her grandmother.
When I was a university student, I created works based on my own complexes.
The motif in that work was a larva called Ogomadara.
During my graduation project, I was stuck trying to draw a larva of a giant butterfly.
I remember my grandmother, who couldn't bear to see this happen, and said, ``Since you're about to graduate, why don't you draw a butterfly?''
At that time, I just couldn't come up with the idea of making a butterfly.
In the end, I drew a caterpillar as a motif, but I had some regrets.
Then, right after I graduated, my grandmother passed away, and 2022 was exactly the 7th anniversary of her death.
At that time, I met my three cousins and my sister for the first time in a while, and now, six years later, I saw that they had all overcome the heavy memories of six years ago and were achieving their dreams and goals that they wanted to achieve.
After seeing this, I decided that I wanted to create a positive work, and this work was completed. The motif is a butterfly of the giant butterfly.
What does the title “Hyakka Ryouran” mean?
There will be many outstanding people and many outstanding achievements.
There is a meaning that after the death of the grandmother, the five grandchildren left behind,
The name is based on the image of overcoming various obstacles and moving forward.
The theme of this work is "graduation", and this butterfly is also my best day dress.
